It is firmly established in the hill running race calendar as one of the most popular races in North-East Scotland. \nIn 2007 the race was praised by the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain’s Top Ten Big Races for runners of all abilities. \nIn 2014\, Women’s Running magazine also named the BHR one of their Top 100 events. \nAt about 8.2 miles in length and with a total of 1500ft of ascent (13.1k and 500 metres)\, the Senior race is a great challenge for everyone. \nIn addition to the main (Senior) Hill Race\, we also hold a Junior Hill Race for runners 13–17\, which is approximately 5k

DESCRIPTION:The Run Banchory Race Committee are delighted to announce a new half marathon multi-terrain trail event in addition to our 10k event. \nCome and join us at our Run Banchory event at King George V Park on Sunday 28th August 2022 in association with SB Fitness. The main events are the existing 10k multi-terrain race and the NEW half marathon multi-terrain event with both predominately taking place in the scenic Scolty/Blackhall forest area. Both race routes will cater for all running abilities but will definitely be known as a good test. \nThere will also be a 1k run for school pupils between primary 1 and 7 and a 2.5k run for secondary pupils between S1-S4.
