Fraserburgh Running Club support Broch Spring Clean

No racing this weekend did not result in a feet up, quiet weekend for our members. On Saturday, 16 of our members worked as a team to help clear the Fraserburgh bypass of litter, with over 40 bags of rubbish picked up.

The encouragement received from passers by was very much appreciated and gave a similar boost to that you receive when getting friendly encouragement during a race.

A well done shout out to all other groups and people who have been helping the “Broch Spring Clean”, picking up rubbish all over Fraserburgh. It’s great to see so many people in the community passionate about their town, to come together to clean up the town, but they shouldn’t have to be doing this.

As we begin to ease out of lockdown, and head into summer, hopefully these litter droppers can learn how to use the bins located all over town and keep the Broch bonnie.
